The Amur Sturgeon Acipenser schrencki is one of two species of Acipenseriformes endemic to the Amur River basin. The population of A. schrencki has been declining for more than a century. The two species, Huso dauricus Kaluga and A. schrencki, are rarely distinguished in harvest statistics making it difficult to assess the impact of harvest on individual species. Common names: Amur Sturgeon, Japanese Sturgeon.
